For months I had been slogging along, head down, towards an objective and now, all of a sudden I'm there! My book and do-it-yourself marketing kit: Do You Stand Out Enough? and the Website that goes with it are launched. The first books were delivered from the printing company I used to self-publish, Lulu.com. If you have not written a book yet, it is amazingly easy now to set the whole thing up yourself on-line and it is really something to hold the final product in your hands and page through it!
A brilliant Virtual Assistant in Nova Scotia created new Twitter and Facebook pages for the book and the new branding -- I would never have found time to do it myself and she knew exactly what to do so efficiently! Invitations went out through LinkedIn, Facebook and email marketing to the launch party last week and 60 people came to celebrate with us!
Here's something else amazing -- two audio experts worked with me to edit and finalize the inspiring expert interviews for the Website -- one is in New Zealand, and the other worked at his studio in Peru! This is only the start of a long list of things I would never have imagined when I started in business, that have actually happened. So I am feeling so much gratitude for being an entrepreneur at this time. In spite of everything that has been difficult for small companies this past two years, I don't know if there has ever been a time when you could easily access so many resources that make it possible to have freedom and flexibility and be in business for yourself!
I hope you got a break over the holidays and enjoyed some quality time with family and friends. As 2011 begins, take some deep breaths and notice the things you treasure about your business and feel happy, and give thanks.
I am grateful for you, because you are part of the catalyst that has made my business grow. thanks!
